Founded in 1895, AFC (Amsterdamsche Football Club) is one of the oldest football clubs in the Netherlands. The club was established by a group of young Amsterdammers in a basement on the Koninginneweg and chose to play in the red and black colors of the city. From its first pitch near the Vondelpark to its current standing, AFC has grown into a respected football club with deep roots in Amsterdam’s football tradition. Today, AFC continues to attract teams and talents from across the country and remains active in youth development and organized competition.
