Welcome to football club Alexandria ’66, firmly rooted in the Rotterdam district of Alexanderpolder since its foundation on 26 October 1966. Originally established as part of the multi-sport association Alexandria ’66, the football department became an independent club in 1989.
Despite modest facilities and several relocations, Alexandria ’66 has achieved remarkable sporting success. Multiple teams rapidly earned promotion to the highest divisions of the Rotterdam Football Association (RVB) and later the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB).
Today, Sportcomplex Oosterflank serves as the club’s home ground, featuring five pitches, including one artificial turf field. In addition to its senior teams, Alexandria ’66 is widely recognised for its strong youth academy, which has produced several talented players, some of whom progressed to professional football.
