BVC Bloemendaal, founded on 15 November 1902, is a Dutch amateur football and softball club based in Bloemendaal. With a rich history dating back to the early 20th century, the club has hosted various sports departments, including cricket, baseball, and softball. Despite changes in sports offerings and locations, BVC Bloemendaal has had a lasting impact on the local sports community, with highlights such as winning the European Cup in softball in 1982 and 1987.
Originally founded as “Bloemendaalsche Voetbal Club,” the club merged in 1918 with Volksweerbaarheid ‘Bloemendaals Commando’ and later with a Haarlem-based football club, adopting its current name: BVC Bloemendaal. Throughout its long history, the club has relocated several times but remains a cornerstone of the sports community in and around Bloemendaal.
