C.OV DESTO, founded in 1928, has a long-standing tradition of community involvement. At our current sports park “De Vryheit”, this commitment is reflected through various volunteer activities, including the annual DESTO Games Day, and initiatives supporting the Johan Cruyff Foundation and our G-team.

The DESTO Games Day, held for over 30 years on the second Saturday in June, has become a local tradition in Utrecht and beyond, attracting over 400 participants and 200 volunteers. It’s a day full of sports, games, music, and connection — always ending with a surprise performance by a well-known artist.

Since 2013, DESTO has supported the Johan Cruyff Foundation by selling merchandise at tournaments and hosting the DESTO Clothing Market, with proceeds donated to the foundation. In addition, our G-team and 35+ team proudly wear the JCF logo on their kits. Our G-football program offers an inclusive experience for players with physical and/or mental disabilities, with fun and enjoyment always coming first.
