Sporting Perpignan Nord is a football club founded on 9 November 2006 in the city of Perpignan (France). It operates as a sports association with the aim of promoting community football, especially in the Haut-Vernet area. Since its early days, the club has focused on developing football for young players while integrating cultural and social activities to create a healthy environment for local residents. With multiple teams from U7 to senior level, Sporting Perpignan Nord competes regularly in tournaments and leagues organised by the Pyrénées-Orientales District and the Occitanie Football Federation. The club emphasises core values such as solidarity, respect, and discipline. One of the most notable achievements in its history was the 2018–2019 season, when the team finished second in Régional 2 – a remarkable milestone despite later controversy regarding the eligibility of a player. Alongside its competitive activities, the club also organises youth football events such as the “Sporting Cup Summer” for U7–U13 teams, attracting many clubs from the region. Supported by the city of Perpignan in facilities and operations, Sporting Perpignan Nord today brings together more than 500 members, making it an important football hub for the community, nurturing young talents, strengthening local sports activities, and fostering social cohesion in Perpignan.
