Sportvereniging VELO

VELO (football) is the football section of SV VELO, a versatile multisport club based in Wateringen, in the municipality of Westland, South Holland, the Netherlands. Founded on July 14, 1930, the football section is the oldest and largest, boasting no fewer than 1,150 members. The club has a rich history in local football and is a key player in the region.

Sportvereniging Verdedig en Loop Op (VELO) practices various sports at both elite and recreational levels, with a total membership of around 2,600. Besides football, the club offers sections for handball, badminton, volleyball, checkers, pétanque, recreational cycling, and judo/jiu-jitsu.

VELO (football) plays its home matches at “Sportpark VELO,” a location that forms the vibrant heart of the club’s football activities.
