WDS ’19

Welcome to WDS ’19, the oldest amateur football club in Breda. Since our foundation in 1919 by the brothers of Willibrordus, we have built a rich and proud history.

Our club is based at Sportpark Paradijs, located in the Breda district of the same name, part of the Haagse Beemden area. Since 2011, this sports complex has been our home ground, where we proudly wear our kit on the pitch for matches and training sessions.

One of the most distinctive features of WDS ’19 is our strong women’s and girls’ football programme. Since the 1980s, girls and women have been strongly represented within our club. In fact, relative to its total membership, WDS ’19 has the highest number of female players of any football club in Breda. We are extremely proud of this, and it forms an important part of our identity.

In addition to our rich history and strong tradition in women’s football, we have also had the pleasure of welcoming several well-known (former) players, including Virgil van Dijk. This highlights the top-tier coaching and potential that our club has to offer.
