Welcome to DZOH, the proud Dutch amateur football club from Emmen, founded in 1985. Based at the Zwanenveld sports park in the vibrant Rietlanden district, DZOH shines in its yellow and green club colours. The club was born out of the desire of members from Sunday club VV Bargeres who wanted to play on Saturdays. Since Bargeres only played on Sundays, this ambition led to the foundation of DZOH.
With a thriving youth academy and a steady stream of talent being noticed by FC Emmen, DZOH has made an impressive contribution to player development. Notable names such as Kevin Görtz, Rick ten Voorde, and Björn Zwikker moved from DZOH to FC Emmen and made their first-team debuts. DZOH even gained international recognition by hosting training sessions during the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2005, where stars like Lionel Messi, Sergio Agüero, and Taye Taiwo trained on its pitches.
