FC Assen

FC Assen, founded on July 11, 1972, is a football club proud of its rich history and strong growth. From its humble beginnings in 1925 to winning the Dutch championship in 1977, the club has always aimed for sporting excellence and community building. With a move to the modern sports park “De Hoogspanning” in Kloosterveen and a rapid increase in membership from 100 to over 650, FC Assen stands as a symbol of ambition and perseverance.

The club offers a varied program, including competitive football on Saturdays, a thriving youth department, and a strong focus on accommodating its growing membership. The expansion of the sports complex with six additional changing rooms and a beautiful rooftop terrace highlights FC Assen’s forward-looking character. Youth development remains a core value, and with four championships in the past ten years, the club is on track for an even more promising future.
