FC Driebergen is an amateur football club based in Driebergen-Rijsenburg, in the province of Utrecht, founded in 2011. The club plays its home matches at Sportpark De Woerd in Driebergen.
The history of FC Driebergen dates back to June 1, 2011, when a merger took place between the local clubs CDN and DALTO. CDN, originally “Combinatie Driebergen NIO,” was founded on May 1, 1939, after a fusion between v.v. Driebergen and NIO. The team played in red-and-white checkered shirts, white shorts, and red socks. CDN enjoyed sporting success in the late 1960s and early 1970s, reaching the top amateur division after several championship wins.
DALTO, short for “De Aanval Leidt Tot Overwinning” (Attack Leads to Victory), was founded on April 20, 1995, when CDN’s Saturday senior section split off to focus on Sunday competition. DALTO wore yellow shirts, black shorts, and black socks. The 2011 merger combined the strengths of both clubs, establishing FC Driebergen as a strong football presence in Driebergen-Rijsenburg.
