SVO Buytenpark is a thriving amateur football club based in Zoetermeer, South Holland, the Netherlands. The club was founded on April 1, 2000, under the name SV Oosterheem, with the goal of becoming the football club for the emerging Oosterheem district. Sportpark Buytenpark, located in the Buytenwegh neighborhood, became the home ground where the club played its matches. This park was formerly the home of Real Zoetermeer until 2014.
Although initially intended to relocate to the Oosterheem area, this move never materialized. Over the years, the club grew and developed, and on July 1, 2021, the name was changed to SVO Buytenpark. The abbreviation “SVO” reflects the club’s roots as SV Oosterheem, while “Buytenpark” refers to the current location at the sports complex in Buytenwegh.
