
VDZ, short for Volharding Doet Zegevieren (“Perseverance Leads to Victory”), is an amateur football club based in Arnhem, Gelderland, Netherlands. The club was founded on August 26, 1926, by Chaplain Janssen with the goal of guiding the leisure activities of Roman Catholic youth.
Since 1964, VDZ has been based at the ’t Cranevelt sports park, located in the Alteveer and Cranevelt neighborhoods. The sports park offers five fields, three of which have artificial turf. The main pitch, also with artificial turf, features the second oldest grandstand in the Netherlands, opened in 1923, adding to the historical charm of the venue.
VDZ is known for its dedication and perseverance, as reflected in its name. The club provides a platform for players of all ages and levels to enjoy their passion for football. With a rich history, VDZ continues to play a prominent role in Arnhem’s local football community.
