WV-HEDW is a thriving amateur football club based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The club has a rich history dating back to the merger of Wilhelmina Vooruit (WV) and HEDW. After the merger, the club settled at “Sportpark Voorland” in 1956, where a memorial was also erected in honor of the fallen members of both former associations.
In 1997, WV-HEDW had to leave Sportpark Voorland due to planned residential development. This marked the beginning of a new chapter at “Sportpark Middenmeer”, a more spacious location. Thanks to solid financial management, the club opened a beautiful clubhouse in January 1998. Additional dressing rooms were added in 2003 and 2008 to accommodate the growing number of teams.
Due to continued growth in the early 21st century, a brand-new pavilion named “de Voorzet” was opened in 2015. With 18 changing rooms, storage, meeting, and reception areas, WV-HEDW now accommodates around 100 teams and their guests. In addition to the cork artificial turf main field, the club also has four other artificial pitches and two grass fields.
